14th Amendment Time!!!
Well, it looks like Obama has all the reason he needs to go the 14th amendment route. He even has Bill Clinton's recommendation. He can fight that fight with all the support he has in the current polls. Stupid Repukes had the deal of the century, but Obama knew they wouldn't deal on raising revenue, and now they look like the unreasonable ones, and will get nothing after Obama invokes the 14th. Many legal scholars say it should pass through the courts, and Obama will look like the one who saved the day. Was this maybe planned from the start? Hmmmmmmmm

2. be careful what you ask for...
at some point the presidential pendulum will swing to someone like Bush2...

Would you have wanted him to have that kind of power?

3. Obama said today:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=102x4931348

"There's a provision in our Constitution that speaks to making sure that the United States meets its obligations, and there have been some suggestions that a president could use that language to basically ignore this debt ceiling rule, which is a statutory rule; it's not a constitutional rule," Obama said.

He said, "I have talked to my lawyers ... They're not persuaded that that is a winning argument."

If Obama ever intends to use the 14th Amendment, and it is his ace in the hole, why would he tip his hand now?

6. Actually I think some version of the McConnell deal is the most likely end result.
given the current situation and given the fact Obama said today he cant legally go the 14th amendment route.
