One More Thing - Boehner's Letter Suggests That He Thinks He Will Get A Better Deal From The Senate!

What President Obama was offering was not much different from the Gang of Six plan, except that it would have accomplished the tax raises by simply allowing tax cuts for those making over $250K expire. Yet, according to Boehner's letter, he was going to work directly with the Senate. So, he seriously thinks he can get a better deal than what is essentially the Gang of Six plan? With no new taxes?

The GOP want less cuts in the deal. That way they can blame the Senate DEMOCRATS for keeping them from being as fiscally conservative as they 'really really wanted to be'. With a deal with the Senate then Obama gets no credit for being fiscally responsible. The GOP doesn't want what they say they want. All they care about is that Obama doesn't score points with the independants.

This would be hillarious if it wasn't so precarious.
