(I'm assuming it's on the front page; if not perhaps someone can post a better link)

A good place for a collective voice.

5. How is that different in principle from the Sedition Act (An Act for the
Punishment of Certain Crimes against the United States) that made it a crime to publish "false, scandalous, and malicious writing" against the government or its officials.

It was enacted in 1798 and expired in 1801. It was a major factor in Adam’s defeat and the election of Jefferson.

"Jefferson more strongly argued the Federal Government had overstepped its limits in the Alien and Sedition Acts by attempting to exercise unjust powers. Virginia and Kentucky passed resolutions (secretly penned by Jefferson and James Madison) openly denouncing the acts."

Jefferson and Madison's VA/KY resolutions are alive in various movements today to return authority to the Tenth Amendment through nullification.
