CNN's Jesica Yellin; Teaparty not to blame, don't politicize this = the daily meme
Edited on Sun Jan-09-11 05:43 PM by upi402
CNN is airing -in the name of the Teabaggers- that the assassination attempt was unfairly blamed on conservatives and it shouldn't be politicized.

Calling truth about what happened 'rhetoric'. They are spinning it down to deflect media responsibility for giving an inordinate amount of airtime to those who incited this violence. They are culpable and we should not let them escape it.

4. I've seen this all over Facebook today
knowing good and well that if the tables had been turned, the fact that it was a liberal would be on 24/7/365.

Fuck that noise. Take responsibility M$M. You're partially to blame for this as well.

5. The MSM has a lot invested in both the tea party & Palin
They've been working on elevating both to national importance since mid 2008, and they arent about to let any 6 dead people take either of them away from them.

7. The media is responsible for giving undue time to the tea party.
Edited on Sun Jan-09-11 05:49 PM by RainDog
for inflating their numbers and thus power and for providing free publicity (and even, in the case of Fox News, arranging rallies for their hate-mongers.)

If the tea baggers had been a different color, CNN would be singing a different song. That's b/c American media is as racist as the tea baggers.

The media wants a to promote politics as sport. The reality is that it is about the life and death of our nation.

8. They are wrong, the Teabaggers are to blame..
Edited on Sun Jan-09-11 06:04 PM by AsahinaKimi
They are the ones who want Second Amendment solutions. They want to water the tree of liberty with blood, they want to open carry weapons to an Obama or Democratic event. They are the ones who tune in each day to Fox News and hate spewers like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Michael Savage, Ann Coulter, Glenn Beck and others like them. They supported Sharron Angle, Sarah Palin, and a bunch of creepy politicians who are bigoted, racist and just plain stupid about the policies going on in this country. They ARE the problem with this country, plain and simple.

11. Post of the day ....
Exactly what you said - They talk often about watering that tree .... There is no doubt what this means: It is a call to violence ...

There are so many instances of this talk in their history .... We need a collection of statements given by Tea Party numbskulls and their supporters in the GOP that constantly troll their hateful rhetoric during their discussions. SO many have spewed this sort of violent, inciteful speech .... Implicit, but clearly calling for physical violence against their political foes ....

16. That's right. Call them by name. Hold the media responsible
This is nascent Nazism and we don't need to wait until it's too late to parallel it with the rise of fascism.

I won't be intimidated by any argument to remain silent, to be "reasonable". This needs to be the turning point.

13. This was a political assassination attempt, CNN
I get that you were given your Grover Norquist approved talking points but they are bullshit. This unfortunately unstable young man heard the political gun rhetoric from the Dog Whistling Right and he responded. Politics as murder by proxy. Unfairly blamed. I don't think so. It's only inflaming rhetoric when it's true?

They are culprits in the rise of a radical right-wing movement.
