the GOP want fewer cuts in the deal so they can run on that in 2012. That is what this has always been about. That way they can blame the Senate DEMOCRATS for keeping them from being as fiscally conservative as they 'really really wanted to be'. With a deal with the Senate then Obama gets no credit for being fiscally responsible. The GOP doesn't want what they say they want. All they care about is that Obama doesn't score points with the independents. They will make a deal with the Senate which doesn't come close to the cuts Obama was proposing.

This would be hilarious if it wasn't so precarious.
