How Republicans resemble the "Mizzy Heatless Wheel"...
In dental medicine we use abrasives for all kinds of operations as many of you will attest. One of the most useful instruments is a Heatless Wheel manufactured by the Mizzy Dental Company.

These are used for cutting metals such as removable partial denture frameworks, gross reduction of porcelain on bridgework, and other laboratory EXTRA-oral uses.

One of the principal advantages of their use is that they generate very little heat associated with grinding so that other materials proximal to the site are not damaged by undue heat, but the stones cut very efficiently and wear quickly so that the friction is transferred to the carborundum of the wheel rather than the object being cut. It's useful and omnipresent. They are also inexpensive as they are 'primitive' and sold by the roll rather than individually. they are also 'fun' to use, because they 'spark' when cutting certain materials like titanium or some forms of steel pins and posts.

In light of this, I would posit that the present-day Republican Party is analogous to the Mizzy wheel, since they both:

1. Cut and destroy even the most resistant materials without mercy.

2. They are used up quickly but there is always an immediate replacement.

3. They are homogeneous in appearance: they all look almost exactly alike: in 35 years of working with them, they haven't changed one iota. (Think FOX broadcasters)

4. They have a central hole and run true even on a lathe at high revolutions: there is no wobble off track and no improvisation - they just cut and cut and have no polishing capabilities, so smoothing-over, no subtlety.

5. They come cheaply and in bulk and they are everywhere: they are inescapable and turn up whenever they are needed.

6. They have no redeeming features involving the creation of anything, they are meant only for utter, complete, and total destruction.

7. And finally: All light, no heat.

1. ...and to add:
When they wear away, all you have left is a crooked hole in what was the middle...
