Norway shooter: We need to provoke Muslims and the left into overreacting
Six-feet tall and blond, the man charged with mass murder in twin attacks in Norway, Anders Behring Breivik, is known to have extremist right-wing sympathies. According to Norwegian police and posts he has made online, Breivik supports far-right idealogies and has called for the formation of a "cultural Euro-Tea Party" referring to the grass-roots right-wing organisation in the US supported by Sarah Palin.

n posts on a Norwegian website, Breivik shows he has an interest and deep, current knowledge of UK far-right politics. In one posting he called for the establishment of a "Norwegian EDL" and he claims to have had contact with it and another far-right organisation, Stop the Islamification of Europe.

He commented: "I have on some occasions discussed with SIOE and EDL and recommended them to use conscious strategies.

He believes that the tactics of the EDL are "now to "entice" an overreaction from Jihad Youth / Extreme-Marxists something they have succeeded several times already. The reaction has been repeatedly shown on the news which has booster EDLs ranks high. This has also benefited GDP. WinWin for both"

6. Oops he was once a member of the PPP
"Earlier today, I was made aware that has earlier been a member of the youth organization of the People's Progressive Party, and that he cancelled his membership several years ago.

"Other than that we know very little about this person, he didn't draw much attention to himself, as long as he was with us," Siv Jensen says.
1626:

The arrested man Anders Behring Breivik was once a member of the right-wing Progress Party, Siv Jensen, leader of the party, confirms.

8. That just means he had a major bug up his ass
and was looking for something to blame it on. The progressives were a poor fit, progressives are just too peaceful.

It's like all the Trotskyites from the 60s who became right wing neocons.

So... he was probably trying to infiltrate PPP and they turned him down
gee, I wonder why? Appears to me he has shown his true colors.

34. Indeed
They are far right, kin with the Tea Party. Their leader, Siv Jensen, is being supported by AEI and Heritage from the US.
Today, they're paddling like hell to avoid the smell of his presence.

35. Here's a snippet of how insane he is
http://www.dagbladet.no/2011/07/23/nyheter/terror/innenriks/17431034/
From an account of one from the Labour youth camp, fleeing from the mass killer.
Translated:
- I first thought it was a bad joke. But when people shouted «run!» I understood that it was for real. I started running towards the woods, but turned to get an overview. After me came three girls. All three of them were shot before my eyes, says the 24 y old.

He got unharmed into the woods.

- In the wood I met a group of children in full panic. Some contemplated to jump from the cliffs, says Kristoffer.

- I didn't know what to do with myself, but then a shot was fired just over our heads. I ordered the kids to run down to the beach and keep their heads low.

They arrived at a place at Utøya called Nakenodden, where they tried to hide in the bushes.

- But it was hopeless, we had colorful clothes on and was easy to spot.

Kristoffer says that at that time he thought it was several shooters, because the shots sounded different.

- But then the shots came closer and I asked the kids to take off their clothes and swim. Some of the kids wouldn't listen and stayed on land.

Several of the kids swimming panicked after a while, says Kristoffer.

- Some of them wanted to turn around and go back.

Kristoffer swam on his back to get an overview of what happened at the shore.

- Then I saw a police officer on the shore, and thought it was safe to swim back. But suddenly the police officer raised his rifle and shot the kids who stayed at the shore.
Then the police officer pointed his rifle towards Kristoffer and the other in the water.

- I don't think he hit anybody, but we panicked, so I didn't have control.

16. Ugh.
There are churches in California's Central Valley where this guy would feel right at home.

His writings are similar to California right wing anti-immigrant Republican kind of crazy.

He calls the liberal Protestant churches of Norway a "joke" and wants them to return to an authoritarian sort of Catholicism.

He says he votes for the most conservative candidates in church elections and that the only thing that can save the Protestant church is to "go back to basics."

It's all like that...

3. Seems the Freepers think this guy is on the right track.
To: piytar
It seems like a conservative who is sceptical about islam and multiculturalism.

He would fit in here at freerepublic.

I read many of his posts. He seemed smart, and I agreed with most of it. Not a hint of any aggression or murderous intent.

He had ambitions of starting a conservative print media as he didn’t like the socialist bias of the msn.

Just crazy.

9. Note to FR and its members. You must be so proud that your idealogy has ended in the murder of kids
Bet you're all pounding your chests today whilst congratulating one another about all the dead children you and your ilk are responsible for wiping out.

So proud.

13. What an odd way to begin the article
"Six-feet tall and blond, the man charged with mass murder in twin attacks in Norway..."

Translation: "We can't figure this one out because only short or average-height swarthy types are terra-ists"? or are they just nipping that assumption in the bud right off the bat--and if so, how sad is it that something like that DOES need to be clarified?

Ten points from Slytherin for the poor lede.

20. It's the logical conclusion
This is the logical conclusion to the Freeper thought process. How could they be even a little surprised? They spend most of their words inciting violence and then act shocked when violence results. This guy admired the Tea Party and hated Liberals and multi culturalism. He is the Poster Boy for what the Tea Party and the Right in this Country think and say.
