If a corporation doesn't want to pay income tax...
Hire some people because everything associated with hiring is a deductible expense and so lowers the income subjected to tax.

So, using right wing logic that every person in the world makes decisions based solely on the tax consequences, then raise the tax rate so the RW CEO's will run right out and hire people just to avoid paying taxes...

6. it's actually "u.s. corporation income tax" as distinguished from "u.s. individual income tax"
although "corporate income tax" and "personal income tax" are more common usage, the subject line has the terms at the top of the official tax forms.

3. It's not that they don't want to pay TAX. It's that they don't want to PAY.
You're still proposing that they give up some of their stolen wealth. What does it matter to them who they give it to, as long as they lose it?

7. actually, my mom has has done estate planning and has many stories....
she's had many people come in to her office wanting to pay as little taxes as possible.

when my mother says, "wouldn't you rather have more after-tax income, even if it meant giving the government a bit more?" they so, "NO! i don't care if i wind up with less. i don't want the damn gub'mint getting any of my hard-earned money!".

my mom always then claims she tells them, "well, then, just give all your millions to me. you'll be broke and have no income, but at least you won't be paying any taxes!" but somehow i doubt she ever actually said this to a client....

so she sets them up with triple tax-free municipal bonds or whatever, earning very little income but owing no taxes.

4. Everyone in Washington knows Corp Tax Loopholes outsource American jobs
The Washington Bubble Dwellers have been discussing How the loopholes are responsible for Outsourcing American Jobs since 2004 yet have not acted to stem the flow.

But that is just the tip of the Iceberg. You have No Clue as to How Massive the Loopholes are

Been reading all morning abut the push for "Territorial Corp Tax Structure" - this paper in it's arguments in support of territorial corp tax structure exposes all of the abuse.

8. I am an accountant so yes I do know....
I was trying to make a point as simply as possible so that people would not get bogged down in detail...

Detail can always kill a message. The GOP knows that. We, of course, do not.

5. We need to tax them for sending good jobs overseas and NOT
give them tax breaks for doing so. Talk about a stupid system. Just think: if one corporation sends 30,000 jobs overseas, that's 30,000 people who stop paying into the tax system. Duh.
