The Debt Crisis - Kidnappers Call and Demand A Ransom - They Are Holding Your Family Hostage

The kidnappers are strapped with explosive vests and are issuing their demands. Do you dare them to push the detonator or do you respond to their demands?

You could pay the ransom, but this will encourage them to engage in such acts in the future. Worse, by paying them off, your family members who you are trying to save may blame you for giving in, and placing them in danger.

Or, you could dare them to push the detonator. It will show that you can't be pushed arouond. But, if they follow through, you have lost your family.

The obvious answer is to hold the kidnappers who are engaging in such extortionate acts accountable.

In the context of elections, we need to vote out the Republicans and win elections in 2012. Not just scream. Not just cast protest votes. Democrats need to win elections. Otherwise, we are once again handing over explosives to those who want to hold us hostage.
