If nothing else has been proven by this debacle, it's that the system deserves a junk rating. As if that wasn't already evident.

6. I hope they get a good group photo because
all of those numbnuts are fracked. Everybody knows what they've been doing and will hold it against them. (I may even consider voting again.) Sad part is they're getting paid while doing it.

It was stupid of them to threaten SS and Medicare/Medicaid because it got absolutely everyone's attention.

(I have a retired friend with less interest in politics than I have these days. She was worried about the SS checks going out last time around, about a month ago I think. I said that I went to a political site to read sometimes and that they all said that the checks were definitely going out and not to worry.)

Do those criminals think that they are going to skate after causing so much turmoil?

5. And if the deal (which imo it will) includes hefty cuts to safety-nets, the
faces will get long and the words "we didn't want to, but we had to" will be proclaimed. They will then begin their August retreat, to their summer homes, to drink fine wine and lament about the hard jobs they have. (gag me with a spoon)
