“I tell people don’t kill all the liberals."
“I tell people don’t kill all the liberals. Leave enough so we can have two on every campus — living fossils — so we will never forget what these people stood for.”

Rush Limbaugh

While I highly doubt the killer of innocents in Norway yesterday listened to Limbaugh, his words are haunting me more than usual today, given the slaughter of so many young people at the political camp they were attending.

I pray karma catches up with Limbaugh very soon.

He's a lock for colon cancer. Doesn't strike me as the sort of get frequently screened either as he seems like the guy who would get all homophobic over endoscopy and/or finger-in-rectum.

6. Why is it
That hate-mongering blowhards like him seemingly live forever, while so many other good souls are cut down in the prime of youth? Limbaugh should have imploded a thousand times over by now, yet he keeps on spewing his vile hatred day in and day out.

... Though the thought of him getting a rectal exam does make me giggle. I propose the doctor use a spiny cucumber to get the job done. :)

7. I think I missed something...
did Clarence Thomas finally write a decision? (He hadn't in the entire term of the latest SCOTUS...I mean Kagan was appointed over a year ago and he'd written not one word since then or for months before that. He doesn't believe in asking questions either. I wonder whose job it is to poke him with the stick to make sure he's not dead.)

...and it was on whether or not wishing for someone to die is free speech?

as my online friend, Kate, says: awkward.

5. I have said for 20 years, and here on DU, that his hate is ruining our nation and world.
Now, he is not alone. His spawn is everywhere. I joined DU in 2002, and have always been proud to be here, sometimes posting lunkhead comments, sometimes those I have been proud of.

But Limbaugh has always been a clear and present danger to everything decent, and those who dismissed him here ought to come clean and admit they were wrong. They have been many through the years.

I've been wrong about a lot of things, too, and hopefully big enough to admit it. But not about this.

11. We have a First Amendment. I sometimes wonder if it applies to drug addled psychopaths.
The really disturbing thing isn't Limbaugh as much as those who do listen to him. It's the same as how we have people who voted for Bush enough to make the elections even close enough to steal. The same thing.

19. Limbaugh is in it for Limbaugh. If it weren't for the fools who believe his every flatulent
utterance he'd be just another crackpot standing on a soapbox on the streetcorner, handing out pamphlets, and going home at night to write manifestos on the wall with his own feces. I don't know that he believes half of what he says, but it's his schtick and hey, hate sells.

14. But that guy in Norway listened to and loved
Pipes and Geller, so they share in the blame

Many will disagree with me, and that is fine, however when
you tell people 24/7 that other people are evil it will
eventually take hold and then the violence will start

Pipes and Geller helped pull the trigger and plant the bomb
There is blood on their hands and should be reminded of this
for the rest of their lives.
Ask them why they killed those people.
Ask them why they needed to die.
Ask them how funny it is now that they helped kill people.

I absolutely believe the hatemongers have responsibility, if not directly then indirectly. Of course, direct responsibility lies with the one(s) who commit the crime, but Limbaugh and others like him surely help create the environment for these crimes to take place, imho.

They can't be arrested as accomplices, they have the right to free speech (though I don't believe Limbaugh should be on military radio for as long as he has been, like a friggin monopoly), but I wish they didn't have an audience or advertisers to support having a place on the airwaves.

:(

On edit: Oh, PAMELA GELLER?!!!! Another heinous individual for sure.....

http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2011/jul/24/norway-suspect-borrowed-from-unabombers/#comments

OldMP writes:

I can understand what happened in Norway, but I can not condone it.

I understand the hatred for those who have allowed the destruction of Norway and for those who are causing that destruction, but I can not condone the killing of innocent people.

I understand fighting those who allowed the destruction and those who are destroying Norway, but I can not condone the killing of innocent people.

Those who allowed and those who actually destroyed Norway are trying to do the same thing here in the United States, but I can not condone those who would kill innocent people.

Those who would allow and those who actually destroyed Norway and those who would allow and those who wish to destroy the United States are not innocent people – they are our enemy. We are in a conflict for our very survival and those who wish to destroy the United States must be dealt with as any enemy is dealt with during a declared War, because we are at War.

Islam has declared War on us.

James Lewis wrote in his “Pandora's Box in Norway” that “Saul Alinsky dedicated Rules for Radicals to Lucifer. Nothing better captures the destructive mind of the cultural Left, and we can see the results all around us.”

Lewis also wrote: “Cultural Marxism is holding hands with the most malignant elements of radical Islam.”

We, the Freedom Loving people of the World, are at War with both cultural Marxism and radical Islam whether we wish War or not – because both have declared War on us.

When those who wish to destroy the United States are defeated, we the Freedom-Loving and God-Fearing people of this land will return to civilized laws and values because that is who we are.

God help the United States and all Freedom loving people of the World.

30. We don't know what he listened to.
I know a guy here in Argentina who listens to Rush all the time. American media reaches the entire world, it massively dwarves the local media market in most nations. I don't think that just applies to movies and TV shows, it also applies to ideology. Maybe this guy listened to Rush, or maybe this guy listened to someone who listened to someone who listened to Rush. Racism spreads like a virus.

Coulter is especially vile. They really are two peas in a pod.

Formerly rational people listening to what Limbaugh spews for hours on end, day after day. When they're mad at the world anyway, he gives them a target as to where to aim that anger, even if it isn't rational.

They're not listening to him for comedic or entertainment value; they're listening to him to get "news" and political and cultural insight.

THAT is scary, to me.

to save civilization after Repukes take over the school systems and destroy everything they can get their hands on. Rush gets away with this unbelievable garbage, because he knows he can hide behind the 1st amendment like a fucking coward. Don't ever forget Rush is a fucking loser coward that fled from helping his country in any way shape or form. He believes in a plutocracy and wants the US to be some kind of fucked up soft porn dictatorship.

I really don't see any difference in Rush and other people around the world that scream for others to hate like them on the airwaves, some of which we consider terrorists.

But, I didn't get far in my search.

If anyone Googles "limbaugh responds to kill all liberals quote," the first "hit" should be this thread, being discussed elsewhere.
