NPR's hourly headlines this morning said very little about the Oslo terrorist
That is, they stated that authorities were confident that they'd nabbed the guilty party & that he'd already confessed to acting alone. However, NPR's brief summary made absolutely no mention of the killer's ideology or associations--information that would have been immediately revealed if he'd had any link with Al Qaeda, no matter how tenous or speculative. But when the terrorist is a caucasian, right-wing zealot, this information is suddenly unimportant or irrelevant.

I expect this kind of deceit-by-omission from MSM outlets, but I'm old enough to remember when NPR actually gave thorough coverage even in its hourly summaries.

1. White terrorist = "nothing to see here" ...
Muslim terrorist = "Western World in lock-down mode".

3. U said it for me: Wingnut terrorism just fades out of sight.
The wingnuts who kill doctors performing abortions, the wingnuts TeaBaggers/Minutemen who kill undocumented immigrants.

And, yes, I believe the TeaBaggers fully capable of these acts and that they and cohorts are just biding their time, waiting to see if and when they can get away with it, meanwhile seeing whether they can take full power. If they become convinced they can't, they will snap.

4. It's National public radio
And unfortunately the 'needs' of the Nation (i.e. the elite) are more important than the needs of the public.
