5. Were There Ever Any American-Made Cellphones?
I suppose some of the early Motorola cellphones might have been, but certainly nothing in the past 15 years.

American-made clothing exists, but you have to search for it on the Internet.
Retail stores don't sell it because the profit margin is lower. Same with shoes.
This means people have to buy the stuff without an opportunity to see it first or try it on.

It is not the fault of the American consumer,
who has often continued to buy the same American brands he always bought,
but the companies that make them don't make them here anymore.

3. Focusing on "jobs"
Jobs are not the problem. There are plenty of "jobs". There are plenty of people with rotten teeth and unmet medical needs, as shown by the Remote Area Medical clinics, so apparently there are plenty of jobs there to be done. If you look at the American Society of Civil Engineers' report card for infrastructure (http://www.infrastructurereportcard.org/), they list plenty of jobs that need to be done. The jobs are there, they just aren't getting done.

They aren't getting done, because rich fucks are sitting on the piles of capital needed to buy the materials, hire the workers and actually DO the jobs.

6. Yes there is plenty to be done...
...but I suspect that 90% of the potential work force to get these jobs done don't have the skills or aptitude to do these jobs. They're too busy trying to get on American Fuckwit or work on their fucking tan lines or practice their out of control body positions for So You Think You Can Act Like a Fucking Moron.

And those that aren't practicing to be stupid are staring back at them while sucking down their 24-ounces of fat pills.

8. And yet, how do these people make a living?
Do they all live with their parents? I gotta believe there are millions of folks who really, really would like a job, so long as it paid a living wage and had some sort of health insurance. Remember, they got a million applicants for those 50,000 temp jobs McD's advertised earlier this year.
