When I heard about the killings in Norway, my first thought was that the perp was a right-winger, given that the children of Labour Party members were targeted, along with the government center. What is copied below illustrates the visceral hatred and threats toward Liberals and Democrats that have been increasing on the 'net for months now. I can't believe these guys are stupid enough to post this on a public forum, but I've done screenshots before they get deleted.

Dad is 70 with early dementia that has turned him into a total prick toward my mom. Doesn't drive any more.

Little brother (38 years old) is developmentally disabled and doesn't drive, though he works at a grocery store as a bagger.

Mom is 61 and is in remission from PPC (for now) - the chemo has wrecked her eyesight and except for short trips in our own neighborhood, isn't comfortable driving anymore.

So I guess if I ever made the news, people would make fun of me for "living with mommmy"

1. The posters be investigated by the FBI and the Secret Service for threats against Americans included public officials;
2. That the FCC hold Fox News accountable with a fine or better yet, yank their broadcast license. Any reputable news site would delete such comments and probably report them to authorities as well.

Also contact your own Congressional representatives, FBI, and how about the FCC? Anybody have their contact info? Also Secret Service; I don't have time to do it all.

Brandenburg and other Klansmen were filmed, at times with firearms, in Klan robes, they burned a cross, and shouted things which I would suggest were much more inflammatory than what was posted on Faux.

Now, with all of that said, here are some thoughts. I lost count of how many times supporters of Republican candidates physically assaulted supporters of Democratic candidates in the 2010 election cycle. I think inflammatory speech, coupled with physical assaults, and then I think that action could be prosecuted.

Unless someone gets hurt, I don't think the courts are going to accept "likely to incite or produce such action".

Fox News's website can hardly be considered a far-right extremist site in the vein of Stormfront or Free Republic. Yet they still call for violence and terrorism. I am a Communist which makes me about as Far radical Left as you can get and I post on a communist site and yet no one there advocates the killing of capitalist children or even capitalist in general. I've never seen any posts encouraging terrorism (though the Stalinists are assholes)

That was posted twenty hours ago; I'm not opposed to allowing free speech and I'm not recommending this be deleted but it is reflective of how these right wingers think and it is an indication of the fact that we need a much better education system to teach people not to hate instead of indoctrinating them into bigoted cults.

I actually had a conservative neighbor tell me that he had documentation proving that the majority of internet threats came from Liberals. (No, I didn't bother to ask for it, since he's kind of a nut.)
