Did you all know a West Point Cadet died from the heat last week? |
|
It appears a Cadet died from the heat last week while participating in a training exercise. The boy was 18. Dam shame. http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5h6kMOy2ElyWRLMeN8SBSYDw6JwDg?docId=003d5b6e2bf74a1890f794f109dd8faa

1. Yes - heartbreaking and needless. I understand it's the Military but |
|
exceptions should be made when the weather has turned deadly. :(

4. I can understand on one hand they have to prepare you for |
|
situations like that -- Iraq, et al, come to mind -- but jeez. They can't figure out some training to do indoors? Just for a few days?
I hope this makes them take a look at their policies.
And, this was West Point! I get the sense that it's different there than actually being on a base somewhere, but I could be wrong.
