Did you all know a West Point Cadet died from the heat last week?
It appears a Cadet died from the heat last week while participating in a training exercise. The boy was 18. Dam shame.

1. Yes - heartbreaking and needless. I understand it's the Military but
exceptions should be made when the weather has turned deadly. :(

They would let us leave our shirtails out, and unblouse our boots...WOW! that really help'ed :sarcasm:

4. I can understand on one hand they have to prepare you for
situations like that -- Iraq, et al, come to mind -- but jeez. They can't figure out some training to do indoors? Just for a few days?

I hope this makes them take a look at their policies.

And, this was West Point! I get the sense that it's different there than actually being on a base somewhere, but I could be wrong.
