Say it again....

The Republicans own this fiasco...

Boehner will go down as the biggest Speaker of the House failure, even worse than Gingrich

4. Asian Markets Are Up! Maybe They Are Counting On China Standing Unopposed...

...as the U.S. meltsdown into an economic apocolypse. My thought is that their markets might go up as investors flee to safer markets.

8. This will be interesting to watch.
I'm prepared to lose a lot of my portfolio on Monday -- not that it was much to begin with.

9. I just don't see ANY deal being made, until the twelfth of never.

We have to set a This Is The Deadline. If they don't meet it, I don't know what will happen, we don't know if Obama is considering the 14th, or if it's even do-able (experts differ!). And even if a deal IS made, what makes them think they'll get all the votes they'll need.

What a mess.

EDIT: Am I a closer freeper? I typed teh! :banghead:

13. Wonder if boner & his party can stay strong? The longer this holds
out the more likely they are to panic and sign anything President obama wants. But then it can go the other way also.

Here in MN Governor Dayton went to court to exempt vital programs - is that possible with a failure to raise the debt limit? All hell is going to break loose if the paychecks are not in the mail next month.
