1. The Lee's Summit, MO story is just horrific

A wife falsely accused her husband of sexually abusing their daughter, then had an affair with the cop who investigated her claim. Cop lied, dad was sentenced to prison, fled to Costa Rica, got caught, spent a year in a prison in Costa Rica, then came home and 2 wealthy area men who had been following the story paid for his defense. Two (maybe three?) mistrials, he finally was acquitted and filed a lawsuit, won and the city refused to pay. Then finally just this week they paid him - and it was twice what they had originally been ordered to pay. Meanwhile he hasn't seen his kids in 12 or 13 years.
