You know, if we had to vote in a Presidential Election tomorrow...
...both the Dem and GOP candidates would lose to whoever else was on the ballot. These folks are lucky we don't get to vote for a while... JMHO.

1. Well, when the real election DOES occur, we might have the
same outcome.

5. Yeah, Always With The Yuk Yuks... The ONLY Reason You Might Be Correct
is that BIG MONEY has assured those in power that we WON'T have anyone else to vote for!! Obama doesn't care, he KNOWS the Repukes have garbage that stinks to high heaven and many who aren't electable. STILL, it doesn't make the STINK smell any better!

It DOES seem that selling souls is what it's all about! Yes, there probably would be the same outcome because we DON'T LIVE IN A DEMOCRACY ANYMORE!! Tweedle-Dee or Tweedle-DAMN!

And even many here at DU will never understand any of it. As a long time activist I've finally figured out that I really d live in a moment to moment society and thinking LONG TERM simply isn't something that happens anymore. The only good thing about this? I probably won't live long enough to have to deal with the outcome!

As one who once wanted better for those who came after me, now I'm just waiting for my judgment day! I think I've finally come to the realization that all my worries aren't worth a tinker's damn, and as a BOOMER I must now simply forger what my children and grandchildren will have to deal with.

The PROBLEM is now a problem is that THEY will have to deal with. I've been in the trenches for far too long and I gave my heart and soul to what I believed was Democracy. It IS NOT! Don't know what it will be called going forward, but DEMOCRACY it AIN'T!

At least not the Democracy that I grew up with. If you have enough money you will survive. I DON'T have enough, but time is on my side. I probably won't have to live through what is coming, and for THAT I AM thankful!

I kind of look forward to actually finding out if there's really something in the hereafter or if we simply go away. Regardless, my soul may still float around, but I'm not even sure if that is true anymore. The end may simply BE just THE END! Just make sure I'm really dead when they cremate me... Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. I'm not sure of what the end brings and I've never seen any ghosts to tell me, so it could be that we all just go POOF!

3. I agree, but...
compromise is not allowed anymore. Even the thought of Obama allowing any part of the social safety net to be negotiated called for threats to not support him in the next election. I am sure the same would happen on the other side if Boner and Droopy Face suggested tax increases. Both sides are dug in deep! If anyone on this website even suggest compromise we are quickly attacked both in character and intelligence, accused of being Republicans and told we don't belong on this website.
