I don't care.

If you support the 12 word platform,

1. End the wars
2. Medicare for Everyone
3. Tax the Rich
4. Jobs for Everyone

Then we need you to run for your congressional or senate seat.

1. Make that 9 words
If you fulfill 1, 2, and 3, 4 will take care of itself.

4. No, it won't. Lotta unemployed soldiers will be looking for work.
And the defense industry will take a body blow. So something else has to be in place.

5. #4 will take care of itself
1. Ending the wars will stop the hemorrhaging of the national treasury, freeing up funds to deal with the crumbling infrastructure, fund public services (rehiring all those laid off firefighters, police, teachers, and attendant support staff).

2. Single payer health care will dramatically lower the cost to families, in which often one person works solely to cover the cost of insurance. As more people are able to afford routine health care, health care jobs will increase, along with attendant support staff.

3. Taxing the rich will do what #1 does but it will also remove part of the corporate profit incentive to move jobs to lower-wage markets.

All three of those will put more money into the hands of the workers who then become consumers, and that's the demand side of the economy. As demand increases, supply must increase, and there are your jobs, which can easily be transitioned from "defense" production to consumer goods production. That, after all, is what fueled the post-WW2 economy.

As I said, implement 1, 2, and 3, and #4 will take care of itself.

That's not a system that will work when it is split 51/49.
They have mucked things up so bad, they're not going to be able to do a damned thing for the next 15 months!!!!!

The GOP is using a "slash and burn" strategy, holding the government hostage when it comes to paying Social Security checks, veterans checks, and disabled checks.
The GOP has targeted the least able groups able to fight back for themselves -- the old, the poor, and the sick.

What kind of monsters are these Tea Party people?
To take money away from retired seniors, and veterans who served to defend this country, and people who are too ill to work and pay their own way!!

Where is the charity in their souls tonight?
It is sadly lacking.
"They care not for those people, for they are not in their place."

The GOP hasn't walked a mile in their shoes, they don't care that retired senior citizens live from month to month, in their own GOP states!!!

The Tea Party Traitors have awoken a giant sleeping mass of people, those who thought that Congress would keep their promises to them and give them their monthly stipends!

I guarantee you, the blowback next year at the polls will astound the critics.
We will set a new voting record for the highest percentage of people to have ever voted in a national election in this country!!

The tsunami is coming to America next year!
And we are going to wash those Tea Party Traitors out of CONgress!!!!!

7. Indeed. I'd give it shot myself.
Fortunately, my district (Barney Frank's) is not likely to have credible candidates that don't espouse those views.

8. We need candidates that runs as a populists.
I'm not sure running as a Democrat or Republican would help.

535 Independents would make things interesting.

9. I love it!
I hope it brings about some candidates who really believe in these points, it's an excellent way to have a metric for a candidate. Kind of like Norquist does for the right, maybe they should have to sign a pledge? I don't like pledges. There needs to be accountability, though.
