Our choice is between two GOP plans |
|
Looking at the deals coming from Boehner, Reid and the White House, ALL spending cuts, NO tax increases. It looks like the choice is between a far right GOP plan and a moderate GOP plan. You would never know the Democrats hold the Senate and the WH. Progressives have been left out of the Government.

1. I've come to accept this will happen.... |
|
And there's nothing we can do about it.
What's going to anger me more than anything else is that we're going to be expected to cheer it as some sort of victory or bargain or whatever rather than the beginning of the destruction of Democratic ideals in this country. Under a Democratic Senate and a Democratic president.

3. Sadly, that's a fact, Ed. |

Both sets of politicians are bought and paid for by global banks and multinationals.
The U.S. Government is no more.

5. Only Republicans call for "up or down votes" |
|
We (and I use the term "we" very loosely) call for compromises, and "grand bargains" and "making history".

disabled, the poor, working families, students...I could go on. Forget political labels, it's everyday folks who are hurt by this "deal".

10. Yeah, and how did that happen? Somebody elected... |
|
those 40 or so scumbags holding everything hostage and we sit back and complain, blaming it all on dark conspiracies or our own elected whatevers not measuring up.
Well, last election I saw the teabaggers everywhere while our people were holding pizza parties and talking amongst ourselves. We won, but not by much. It was a real nailbiter, complete with recounts.
I'm pushing for a big push this year on the local elections and a bigger one next year. And if we lose, it won't be because of crooked voting machines, antagonistic media, or anything else-- we will win or lose on the strength of our message and our candidates.
