1. A lot of people do not realize the Liberals and Progressives

making noises of unhappiness and disapproval especially
of policies, helps the President. It shows the Right
he (Pres.) must hold firm because of his own Party.
It gives the President cover.

Complacency hoping not to create problems for the President
only helps Republicans. They read this as Liberals
and Progressives agreeing with their policies or at
least not objecting. GOP then pulls President further
right. You can not blame them. They are in this to win
whether we are or not.
