Victory for Evolution in Texas!
Science and reason wins out!

http://ncse.com/news/2011/07/victory-evolution-texas-006802

Pop the champagne corks. The Texas Board of Education has unanimously come down on the side of evolution. In 14-0* vote, the board today approved scientifically accurate high school biology textbook supplements from established mainstream publishers--and did not approve the creationist-backed supplements from International Databases, LLC.

7. not really. no matter how many times i repeatedly said, science has ALWAYS won out in the aisd
school system here in amarillo, people ignored and pretend that crap was taught in our schools. which it NEVER has been taught in our schools, by our teachers, or sanctioned by adm or school board.

but hey... why the fuck let reality interfer in a good outrage

15. I think wecan separte the people of Texas from the jerks who try to
manipulate what is included in school text books. Teachers know what is real and what is bullshit. If they are forced to teach ID they can always use it as part of teaching scientific method.
