Coultergeist's latest 'book' is titled DEMONIC. Does anyone bother to research her claims?

In her most provocative book to date, Ann Coulter argues that liberals exhibit all the psychological characteristics of a mob, for instance:

Liberal Groupthink: “The same mob mentality that leads otherwise law-abiding people to hurl rocks at cops also leads otherwise intelligent people to refuse to believe anything they haven’t heard on NPR.”

Liberal Schemes: “No matter how mad the plan is—Fraternité, the ‘New Soviet Man,’ the Master Race, the Great Leap Forward, the Cultural Revolution, Building a New Society, ObamaCare—a mob will believe it.”

Liberal Violence: “If Charles Manson’s followers hadn’t killed Roman Polanski’s wife, Sharon Tate, Clinton would have pardoned him, too, and he’d probably be teaching at Northwestern University.”

Citing the father of mob psychology, Gustave Le Bon, Coulter catalogs the Left’s mob behaviors: the creation of messiahs, the fear of scientific innovation, the mythmaking, the preference for images over words, the lack of morals, and the casual embrace of contradictory ideas. This is not the American tradition; it is the tradition of Stalin, of Hitler, of the guillotine—and the tradition of the American Left. Hoping to muddy this horrifying truth, liberals slanderously accuse conservatives of their own crimes—assassination plots, conspiracy theorizing, political violence, embrace of the Ku Klux Klan. Coulter shows that the truth is the opposite: Political violence—mob violence—is always a Democratic affair.

I saw this at the local library. A casual leaf through was sufficient to see that it was another of those "what-righties-want-to-hear" tomes. Question is: Does any serious intellectual bother to dissect her arguments? The comments section on Amazon.com is rampant with glowing reviews..mostly stating how 'brilliant' and 'well-researched' this book is.

I don't get it. At. All.

1. Serious intellectuals don't take her seriously enough to dissect her arguments

Indeed, one could argue that doing so only would confer a level of respectability on them that they plainly don't warrant.

2. What you've cited could be used in a class on abnormal psychology
when they were studying the phenomenon of projection. It will be a classic example of it in the future if her books aren't all returned and ground back into pulp.

3. What is amazing to me is...
From what you posted...the projection.

It is Tge RW that is denying global weather change and evolution, for example.

And of course the smear on NPR is just expected.

7. I don't think anyone cares.
She writes for the echo chamber - it's not like anyone who doesn't already think that way will pick up her book and label it a "thoughtful read".

But this woman is such a monster, I sure would love to kick her stinking behind.

9. Fear of scientific innovation?
Seriously? THe left is afraid of scientic innovation? If anyone is afraid of scientific innovation it is the RW fundy nutjobs. Science gets in the way of their blind faith.

I doubt anyone wants to bother refuting her drivel. We have better things to do then waste our time with Ann's nasty screeds.

11. Where do you go after you demonize the enemy with a book called "Demonic"?

Nowhere.

She's a joke, and at the end of the line intellectually.
