Will Brevik's attack trigger a spate of copycat attacks.
I have always been afraid that once some goofball winger started shooting, that there would be a spate of copycats shortly there after.
The hate that right wing radio and TV has ginned up is being taken serious by a few who feel that liberals are the cause of everything.
Even in my little backwater home, there are folks that give me the willies.

1. Im not worried just yet...
Even though this Norwegian guy shared a lot of the same hate and ideology, he himself is still a foreigner to our own xenophobic right wingers. If an American were to do something similar, THEN I would be worried about copy cats.

2. Of course, there could be copycats in Norway
or elsewhere in Scandinavia, which would also suck big-time. :scared:

8. There are very deep ties between the radical right/neo-nazis of Europe
and of the US. Richard Butler of Aryan Nations had an operation where he did printing of flyers and brochures for German neo-nazis in his Wyoming compound.

This is every bit as much an international movement as the Red Menace ever was.

3. Of note, yes the RW is this crazy in all of Europe
AND the US... yes it is possible. His manifesto could be the manifesto of the Tea Parties...

So yes, people dismissing this are not familiar with this. The Southern Poverty Law Center tracks these loons in the US...

4. These killers get media attention and fame while the victims go nameless.
I hope they don't make a media star out of this guy.

6. No. Because if they do, they know they will have to 'choose' between
1. getting caught by law enforcements and, depending where they live, either face a life in prison of the death penalty (or some endless 'mental treatments').

2. shooting themselves in the head.

They're much too coward to face either.
