1. My Fellow Americans. Top Democratic Scientists are working on new ways to cave
But our ability to give into Republicans has reached a breaking point. I know, that as a Democratic President, it's not my place to stand in the way of the Republican agenda. Indeed I have supported it on many occasions. Even this latest massive capitulation by Senator Reid shows our willingness and even eagerness to abandon our base. And yet, somehow, the House Republicans are more interested in my defeat in the election of 2012 then they are in taking massive concessions right now. I just don't know what to do about this, but I really have only one tool in my toolbox. I have not decided where I will concede or surrender yet, but I assure you, that is what I will do. Thank you and God Bless America.

Bryant

2. I'll be watching. It's about time for him to lay down the law
on this thing. I believe he'll do that tonight, laying blame where it belongs. You go, Mr. President!

7. ..yeah, and I believe I'll have another beer...
...see which one has a better outcome..he won't lay blame anywhere, he'll talk about bi-partisanship, the need for unpleasant cuts to "sacred cows" even SS and Medicare/Medicaid, not a word about rasing the taxes of millionaires, he'll try and scold the republicans, but in the end he'll just set us up for the inevitable cave...

On second thoughts I'd better make that more than one beer..

6. "I will veto any bill that doesn't raise taxes on the rich or cuts current or future benefits."
I'm sure that's what he'll say. No excuses, rationalizations, blame, just a clear concise statement of how he'll govern.

He'll say it right after he closes Guantanamo and ends the "necessary" wars and fixes HRC.

9. He may as well come out and say it...
it will be a campaign issue anyway.

"Yes, I will let the Bush taxcuts expire. I will ask Congress to exempt those making less than $250,000. Otherwise the entire Bush taxcuts will expire. I support the middle-class taxcuts but not those for the most wealthy.

That is my position. We have no plan to ask for further taxes at this time.
