Republican Rep. warns of Obama impeachment if GOP forces debt default
http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2011/07/25/republican-rep-warns-of-obama-impeachment-if-gop-forces-debt-default/

By Stephen C. Webster
Monday, July 25th, 2011 -- 3:43 pm

A Republican member of the House of Representatives declared today that President Barack Obama could be impeached if the U.S. defaults on its debts.

The comment is from Rep. Steve King (R-IA), who told his followers on Twitter that they should "stop talking about" a potential U.S. default.

"The 1st dime of each $1 of revenue services debt," he wrote. "Obama would be impeached if he blocked debt payments."

The comment is ironic in that Republicans have played the largest role in pushing the U.S. government to the brink of defaulting on some debts by refusing to lift the nation's debt ceiling.

Congressional Republicans raised the ceiling nine times during the Bush administration, adding over $4 trillion to the nation's debts. President Obama, as a freshman Senator from Illinois, voted in 2006 against raising the debt ceiling, but has since called his decision a mistake of inexperience.

2. Every now and then, when I think there's no extreme the GOP can't go to and get away with

some Puke dillweed like Steve King pops up and makes me realize how wrong that assumption is. No matter how extreme and stupid they have become, they can always manage to top themselves, somehow.

Impeach Obama? Over the crisis YOU assholes created?? Didn't you learn ANYTHING from the last time you tried this?

You won't remove Obama you stupid Puke. The only thing you MAY win by trying this lynch party crap against President Obama is getting him appointed PRESIDENT FOR LIFE Obama.

This could be the one thing that would extinguish the Republican Party forever. Maybe I ought to hope they go for it, just to see the end of them. But the damage that would be inflicted meanwhile as the govt is tied up in a Constitutional crisis instead of getting on with managing the economic affairs of an Empire in decline, would not be worth it.

4. Where is President Obama going to get the money to pay for everything
if the debt ceiling isn't raised, Steve? I trust that President Obama will do the responsible thing and do what he can to stave off a default but the money is only going to last so long without extraordinary measures (which, of course, King will seek to impeach him for if he tries to utilize them). :puke:
