We Spent Billions on TSA Overnight..So How About a Billion on Security For Congressional REP'S

.... I think if we can spend Billion's providing airlines Federal Security for passengers wishing to fly....I think we can spend a Billion on a congressional security detail for when they are back home in their home districts...especially when there is a known threat....

1. cause and effect
In light of this horrible tragedy, perhaps security should be reviewed. However, this is essentially a cause and effect issue. The cause, IMO, is the incessant, more and more vitriolic and explicit political hate speech, inciting or advocating violence, which has resulted in the effect: this unstable man's actions. If it wasn't him, it would have been another impaired or outraged person targeting different victims. I think it's been leading up to this for two and a half years, and frankly I'm not surprised. Horrified, yes, but not surprised. So, instead of (or in addition to) addressing the effect, they should address the cause.

4. No. We don't need more of a Police state.
We shouldn't be spending billions on TSA either.

Both terrorism and political assassination are very rare. The money would be better spent on jobs, improving mental health, education, etc.

5. Oh, they'll have to give each and every congresscritter around the clock
protection. Terrorism is certainly bleeding the USA dry, drip by drip.
