Anyone else really miss Anthony Weiner right now?
He'd be on Fox News, in the belly of the beast, raking Boner over the coals.

Such a waste.

5. They did. But at the same time...
I never felt any sympathy for him.

This cartoon sums it up:

http://politicalhumor.about.com/od/democrats/ig/Anthony-Weiner-Cartoons/Weiner-s-Weiner.htm

He knew how much he meant to this movement, and he knew how many people looked up to him. Seriously, he was incredibly stupid.

15. Virtually is correct. I've yet to see dems lining up for Wu's head
on a platter, and if the accusations against him have any truth to them, then it wasn't 'virtual', but real and physical.

I did see earlier today that Pelosi is calling for an ethics investigation. Wu has stated that he won't resign, but won't run again, but where are all of the calls for him to resign ASAP?

14. It seems all of the strong liberal voices have been silenced
Weiner, Grayson and Dean have all been sidelined. We now only have the no drama Obama lead democratic party.

16. Who silenced Grayson? Oh, wait. It was the voters in his district.
Edited on Mon Jul-25-11 05:47 PM by onenote
The guy is speaking out, which is great. But he was silenced because he was a bad fit for his own district. And why hasn't Howard run for office again?

43. I'm glad he's running. I'm glad he's a Democrat. I hope he wins.
But he needs to run a much smarter race if he expects to make a comeback in his district. He needs to put forward progressive ideas in a way that doesn't make him sound like a loose cannon, which is what turned off a lot of voters in 2010, imo.

And I regret that every day.

27. I wish Dean would have stayed as the head of the DNC
That position gave him a huge platform. Tim Kaine was terrible and Wasserman-Shultz is using the seat as a part-time job.

Congress needs more voices with matching votes, not just more voices.

26. yes and no
he said all the proper things, but he had no self-control and did himself in.

self-destructiveness is a trait we could do with less of in our legislators

if you are to be a bold speaker and are ready to poke the opposition, you had better have few (if any) skeletons in your closet, because republicans target these people the most.

How would raking boner over the coals (or slapping his hand, or kicking him in the ass, or...) change what's going on now?
