And what did the Republicans do it for? Well, to stop $16 Million in airport expansions and to bust the FAA unions.

3. Oh, that revenue isn't lost
The airlines are still collecting FAA fees; they just aren't forwarding the money, because the FAA doesn't have any current authority to levy and collect those fees. The money's going somewhere, just not to the FAA.
