My Advice To Sarah Palin
self | jimjohn

Posted on Sunday, January 09, 2011 4:57:17 PM by jimjohn

Call for a press conference announce ASAP – give them a one day notice. (I’m sure she’s being contacted non-stop by the global media right now). Have a supportive crowd present…

… then announce her candidacy for President of the United States.

No, I don’t have a screw loose. In diplomatic terms, it’s called ‘dealing from a position of strength’. In military terms, it’s called ‘responding to an ambush by charging into it’. In poker, it’s called ‘calling their bluff’. Are you listening Sarah?

This subject is now open for public debate, but in my opinion, it’s the best way for her to fight her way through this ambush. And her candidacy should be announced sometime this week.

21. Another reason why war metaphors for politics are a bad idea
What jimhjohn doesn't get is that charging into an ambush is valid in combat not because it's a good or desirable option, but because it's the only one, as horrendously costly as it is.

12. Freeps are truly clueless creatures, are they not?
They have such a tenuous hold on 'reality' as the rest of us see it. Amazingly, their mental droppings ring true to them and the rest of their fellow freepi. With their feverish devotion to extermination of ideas that originate from 'the other,' FreakRepublik fits the definition of 'echo chamber' to a tee.

16. Some replies to this brilliant idea:
"I hope she is laughing this away. I could not imagine what is going through her and her families head right now. God Bless them."

Here's what's going through Sarah's mind right now: -$$$$$$

"I am going to agree with one condition. Sarah and her family receive and accept Secret Service protection, if the Secret Service is not already with them.

I agree this smear must be met head on in counter attack. May God Bless Sarah, her family, and the Tea Party. Sarah is our best hope. This is what I believe."

You betcha! :patriot:

"The VERY BEST artical in FR this year. I could not agree with you more. I am very impressed with your post.

Great post and I hopee there will be more from you!"

Well, this post speaks for itself.

"Step one for Palin needs to be exposure on talk radio outlets and other media venues where she can speak her mind without getting shouted down or having an angry host try to blame her. Set the record straight and point out all of the shooter’s left-wing connections. Keep referring to him as a leftist and a liberal.

And name the names of all those media people who have slandered her, with the promise that they will be banned from any access to her in the future."

Oh noes!!!! :scared:

"The time is now, if not now when? If not Sarah, then who? I truly believe the crap will never end against Sarah. Another reason for Sarah to stand and scare them to death. Cause Sarah standing up, would scare them to death."

Ooooh...triple :scared: :scared: :scared:

"They are genuinely frightened of Sara Palin because they expect her to be the next president if they are unable to destroy her early. To the left, Palin is Reagan come back to life. A Palin presidency would set back the Socialist Project severely where Romney would advance it, probably more effectively than they can and others might just delay it a bit."

Of course, no Palin thread would be complete without digging up St. Ronnie.

17. Freepers believe she needs SS protection, so she should announce now.
At least, that's what I read from off FR or comments to a news article.

Amazing: they think She's the one needing protection, after all the hatred she's spread. Her pastor needs to remind her that Hate isn't a family value.

'Sarah Palin's Alaska': No second season. (Dang?)
by Lynette Rice
Categories: Reality TV, TV Biz

It’s easily one of the most-buzzed about (or should we say slammed?) shows in the history of TLC, so it’s natural to assume that Sarah Palin’s Alaska could have a future on the cable network, right? Unfortunately for you caribou-hunting fans, there’s only bummer news to report (for now). EW did its due diligence and discovered there are no plans to send uber-producer Mark Burnett back to Wasilla with Palin, who’s lured an averaged 3.2 million viewers to TLC with her show. So this Sunday’s two-hour finale of Sarah Palin’s Alaska appears to be its last.

Even MSNBC had a more flattering picture of Sarah with their story!

TLC reportedly pulls plug on 'Sarah Palin's Alaska'

Sunday's season finale of "Sarah Palin's Alaska" is said to be the show's last episode, Entertainment Weekly reports.

The former Alaska governor's TLC reality series — which premiered Nov. 14 — averaged 3.2 million viewers per week, with its first episode delivering the network's best-ever launch ratings.

23. I can't believe that a deep cover poster didn't write that.
That is the singular most insane advice I've ever seen...it has to be someone who absolutely wants to see Palin commit political suicide.

And I've never heard of any military tactician recommend charging into an ambush.

That's, uh, exactly what your enemy wants you to do.

That's why they call it an 'ambush'.

Palin's political 'career' is currently glowing with more radioactivity than weapons-grade Plutonium.

She will not survive this politically.

The faces of the dead will follow her wherever she goes from now on.

Sad, yes, but on the other hand, pretty gosh-darned entertaining, oh you betcha.

28. I would never do such a thing.
For instance, just suppose some time ago I stumbled across a hate site, joined it for shits and giggles, and slowly, over the years, sporadically posted insane ramblings and got other insane posters to agree with me...just to make them all look even further insane.

Complete waste of my time.

I would never even consider doing such a thing.

Heh.

29. Agreed. Let's say for instance I signed up over there...hypothetically, just for laughs...
...even though, just like you, I would never, ever do such a thing.

And say...once again, we're just having fun here talking about something neither one of us would ever, ever do...let's say I drop a little comment here and there to watch the sheep line up in agreement.

That wouldn't be right. Some people might think that kind of thing would be fun every now and then. Not me! And I KNOW not you!

:-)

30. Their choice of words, given what happened a little over 24 hours ago, is astonishing.
But I can guarantee that tonight, Palin is shitting herself over her image, and not because she cares about what ANYONE thinks of her. She only cares about selling books and getting paid to mumble a few "DO YA LOVE YA FREEDOMS" into a microphone before slithering back to her limo.
