I mean, after all. We're all told to hate taxes. So let's give it a whirl. What would the US look like if there was no government. Cuz we can't have a functioning government with no taxes, right.

First off, it would end those damned wars right quick, dontcha know.

Wanna fly? No problem. No federal tax. No air traffic control.

Cross your fingers while crossing that bridge.

Granny's sick? Gee, how sad.

House afire? Grab yer hoses, boys.

Stop! Thief! Hahahaha. Whatever.

By the way, there'd be no money, either. How long do you think those dollar bills last? Just sayin'.

Those welfare states would be in a state of hurt, huh? What welfare states, you ask? Well, they'd be the ones who get more in government handouts than they send in taxes. They know who they are. They all show up on the map in a bright shade of red.

What else? What else would we give up in return for no taxes?

4. Imagine
Someone in thee media needs to ask one of the knucklehead tea baggers to describe their version of the great society. Of course, like Palin and Bachmann, they wouldn' t dare try to answer. They would merely spew forth their pat talking points.

5. Utter chaos, with the prisons and jails left unguarded and inmates escaping to freedom
if they aren't killed, wounded, and/or injured by other, more violent inmates first.

Groups of people including former police and veterans banding together to defend their neighborhoods and towns, with some success until overwhelmed by superior numbers of thousands in marauding, loosely organized and armed gangs. Don't want to even think of what would happen to most women, children, the weak, ill, and aged.

6. And when those gangs grow larger, they become, effectively . . . .
. . . . governments. Telling their members what to do and not do (laws). Having their members give a small amount of the food they hunt . . . . . Organizing their strongest to protect their weakest (a police force?) . . . . Having their smartest figure out how to tend their infirmed . . . .
