U.S. unemployment rate for June was 9.2%.
Canadian unemployment rate for June was 7.4%.
In June, the US created 58.63 jobs per million of population.
In June, Canada created 829.88 jobs per million of population.
Now I wait to see all the weak, baseless American excuses to explain why the US can't keep up with Canada.
Americans need to realize that the main reason that Canadian businesses are doing so well is that Canada has a universal single payer health care system, and that Canadian businesses are completely free of the health costs which cripple American businesses so they can't provide jobs. In addition to that, since all Canadians have access to health care and 38% of Americans do not.
Canadian workers are healthy and productive while American workers work while acutely sick and chronically ill and this makes the US very unproductive when compared to any nation with universal health care, and particularly a single payer system. Overhead in the Canadian system is 4%, overhead in the US insurance run health care system is 41%. Canadian individuals (not companies) pay for the health care system through taxes and Canadian taxes (which include health care) are 35% of what Americans pay for taxes+health insurance+deductibles+copays, none of which Canadians pay. Any comparison between Canadian taxes and American taxes which does not take American health costs into consideration is comparing apples to oranges. When you compare Canadian taxes (which include health costs) and the cost of American taxes PLUS health costs, Canadians taxes (which include health costs) are 35% of what American taxes PLUS medical insurance PLUS deductibles PLUS copays (none of which Canadians pay, and have 98% of that money in their pockets).
Canadians can even pay for the 2 million Americans who stream across the border into Canada to get the health care they need, but are denied by the insurance company bureaucrats who are wedged between Americans and their physicians. In Canada, physicians make medical decisions. In the United States, insurance company bureaucrats make medical decisions. For every Canadian who crosses the border into the US for treatment (and it opens their eyes and they never go back to the US) there are 1000 Americans who cross the border into Canada for the health care they are denied buy insurance company bureaucrats in the United States.
