Intervention and using the law to keep her locked up until she got enough psychiatric treatment to stop her from medicating herself with illegal drugs. That's all that people are doing when they become addicts. They're medicating themselves to ease their pain or to fix some sort of inherited psychological problem. It's very awful that this beautiful woman with an incredible voice is now gone because she medicated herself to death.
