6. Me to...only I'm trying to reach my Maryland contingent

(all Democrats). MSNBC finalized the follow-up to the two speeches and said that they'd been advised also that the House and Senate servers were overloaded. I am presuming that since Boehner didn't ask people to contact their Congressperson, that those doing the contacting are doing so per Obama's request. It makes no sense to try to do snail mail, because it wouldn't get there until Wednesday at the earliest, maybe Thursday. I'm thinking of trying to use the fax machine. I would imagine most people will email and won't think of the fax. I'll start my dialing sometime after midnight.

I have been trying to call Boehner and Cantor - can't get through and mailbox full. They don't want to listen.

I'm trying to email Senator Cornyn, Senator Hutchison, and Rep. Conaway. I couldn't get through to any of them, so I decided to find their fax numbers and fax them. I faxed Conaway first, and got an error report. I suppose I'll continue to try email. I'm somewhat of a night-owl, so I'll persevere for several more hours.

14. Me too -- Coats and Lugar (both old-school Rs). I kept trying and finally got through to the email

form and told them to stop slashing social security and medicare, especially as the people of Indiana desperately need these programs.
