1. They still don't think we're gonna default
It will take time to sink in. They don't really understand how fucked up our government has become.

How can they? Most Americans don't know either.

2. Agreed.
I think conventional wisdom is that a way out of this mess will be found. Hopefully it's right. All hell's gonna break loose if the markets realize the Republicans really are nuts enough to drive us off the cliff.

The current rate is 78.05, which is close to a new low for the dollar vs. the yen.
