New Court Filing Reveals How the 2004 Ohio Presidential Election Was Hacked

Monday 25 July 2011
by: Bob Fritakis, The Free Press | Report

A new filing in the King Lincoln Bronzeville v. Blackwell case includes a copy of the Ohio Secretary of State election production system configuration that was in use in Ohio's 2004 presidential election when there was a sudden and unexpected shift in votes for George W. Bush.

The filing also includes the revealing deposition of the late Michael Connell. Connell served as the IT guru for the Bush family and Karl Rove. Connell ran the private IT firm GovTech that created the controversial system that transferred Ohio's vote count late on election night 2004 to a partisan Republican server site in Chattanooga, Tennessee owned by SmarTech. That is when the vote shift happened, not predicted by the exit polls, that led to Bush's unexpected victory. Connell died a month and a half after giving this deposition in a suspicious small plane crash.

Additionally, the filing contains the contract signed between then-Ohio Secretary of State J. Kenneth Blackwell and Connell's company, GovTech Solutions. Also included that contract a graphic architectural map of the Secretary of State's election night server layout system.

Cliff Arnebeck, lead attorney in the King Lincoln case, exchanged emails with IT security expert Stephen Spoonamore. Arnebeck asked Spoonamore whether or not SmarTech had the capability to "input data" and thus alter the results of Ohio's 2004 election. Spoonamore responded: "Yes. They would have had data input capacities. The system might have been set up to log which source generated the data but probably did not."

2. Didn't someone from the white house make a special trip
to Ohio on the night before the election to talk with Blackwell. Was it Rove? Cheney?

4. George Bush & Karl Rove visited Columbus, Ohio .....
..... and saw Ken Blackwell and Matt Damschroder (Franklin County BOE) on election day 2004.

FYI Despite long lines at the polls in Franklin County, Matt Damschroder held back badly needed
voting machines to hinder people's chance to vote.

3. Well what is wrong w/ shipping Ohio's election data ...
.... to a republican run computer in Tennessee where Karl Rove could monitor and input new data from the White House?

And that would Susan Ralston sitting next to Karl Rove who helped to get the Help America Vote Act passed with some lobbying
from her former boss Jack Abramoff & Bob Ney ...... Got to get all those people voting on electronic voting machines.

8. Is this really just sinking without trace due to apathy?
In some countries, the following three paragraphs would have triggered
street protests from angry citizens demanding justice:

> A new filing in the King Lincoln Bronzeville v. Blackwell case includes a copy of
> the Ohio Secretary of State election production system configuration that was in use
> in Ohio's 2004 presidential election when there was a sudden and unexpected shift in
> votes for George W. Bush.

> The filing also includes the revealing deposition of the late Michael Connell.
> Connell served as the IT guru for the Bush family and Karl Rove. Connell ran the
> private IT firm GovTech that created the controversial system that transferred
> Ohio's vote count late on election night 2004 to a partisan Republican server site
> in Chattanooga, Tennessee owned by SmarTech. That is when the vote shift happened,

Are Americans REALLY so hooked on their TV puppet shows that they don't care
about *why* they are in so much shit at home and all around the world?

If the comparatively intelligent & aware people on DU make more fuss over general
chatter than an examination of the (second) banana republic election farce, how
can anyone criticise the sheep for being ignorant and not "supporting" them?

:wow:

9. Some on DU have been fighting this stuff for almost 7 years now
Others have simply obstructed, and fought every reasonable solution since then. It's the old "are you part of the solution or part of the problem" scenario.

The BEST thing people can do is to get involved with an election integrity organization in their own county or state. If you don't have time to donate, then DONATE MONEY. (Funds are needed desperately by most of these groups.) If you are short on cash, donate time.

The thing NOT to do, is to go on donating to political campaigns and supporting candidates as usual while ignoring this. Our elections are in real danger. DO NOT pretend these problems don't exist, or worse yet that the solution will be for a handful of lefties to demand hand counted paper ballots for everyone and that will then somehow solve all the problems.

Solving this is going to take strategy and people in the trenches who put their money where their mouth is to support the efforts to solve this.
