Only one man can ask the GOP to raise taxes and get it done. |
|
Limbaugh. No one else in the GOP could ask for a tax increase to raise the debt ceiling and make it happen.
Which makes it all the more silly when the TV talking heads ask who's in charge.
As silly as blaming this on the Tea Party, who are Limbaugh/Hannity/Savage/Beck dittoheads.
Or Boehner.
The Limbaughs and Hannitys sit on the sidelines with no consequence, egging on the teabaggers and the country as it heads off a cliff that we don't know the height of.
Today they will get the screaming calls in to the Tea Party idiots in congress to hold the line.
It is a shame and a big mistake that while Moveon is trying to get people to their congresspeople's offices today there are NO progressive organizations protesting at those radio stations that will do default denial all week long, from the national and local talkers. And after this is over they'll go back to global warming denial and blaming Obama. All day, all week, all year until the next election, and beyond.

1. It's true. I wish I knew how to start a movement. |

But alas, all I can do is make my one voice heard in ditto land...such a scary place.

2. Actually , to raise taxes |
|
all they have to do is nothing. The bush tax cuts expire unless congress votes to extend them and the president signs off it.
