BRZEZINSKI said it on Scabs: T-Baggers represent tiny minority. I call it treason. |
|
Edited on Tue Jul-26-11 10:43 AM by UTUSN
He summed up what should be the President's message succinctly: That the 'Baggers are wielding all this power while representing a tiny minority of the country's population. I take it a step further, that they don't wield it for the best interest of the country.
I hope the President keeps his word and vetoes the short term deals if that is the last sticking point.
Last Sunday Chris WALLACE was all hard-news on GEITHNER's ass, then immediately drooled all over BONER, who came on with a CLOWN routine, "Glad to be here, Chris! It's a great day!" BONER the wino should have been doing his alcohol weeping instead of that jarring intro.
So WALLACE with GEITHNER: "Yes or no: Have you formulated contingency plans in case the August 2 deadline is not met?! Yes or no!1 What *are* those plans?!1 Yes or no!1"
The local wingnut claimed I misrepresented this, that GEITHNER is just inept, both in his job and on t.v. and that WALLACE is just a total journalist and NOT Faux-biased. Uh, clearly WALLACE's bias was to show that contingency plans ARE available, therefore it is totally all right for Rethug obstruction to go forward, to reassure the nervous wingnut geezers that they could relax and let the Rethugs do their junk.
The numbers of the debt limits occasionally pop up: It has been raised, what, 17 or more total times, 4 times under CLINTON, 7 times under Shrub. I say: TREASON.

1. Yes, the prez has allowed a tiny number of idiots to frame this whole debate... |
|
Even now, he should say that he's done with the charade and will veto anything that isn't a clean bill - and say the exact same thing every day.

3. That seems to be the issue Obama did not say veto last night. |
|
I missed it last night but caught up this morning. What crap when you have to note what was not said.

4. There are more than 60 teabaggers in the House. They all seem the same to me. |

Here you have the President, who states repeatedly that his highest principle and aim is just to bring different parties together in compromise. He is thus unable to fight those who will not compromise, since his political commandment is find the common ground with anyone. How do you obey that commandment when the other side wants you dead? He is trying, Lord, he is trying.
On the other hand you have a class of new Representatives who are plotting to fundamentally and permanently alter the working design of the US federal government through the use of nightmarish & regular terroristic threats: comply with all our demands or else we will destroy the economy. I don't think the Constitution intended to endow any branch with dictatorial control, but that's the right to power that they are asserting. They don't want to hijack the government just this once, but as they indicate through negotiations, they want to do this twice a year! Even if this period was set at once a year, that's a permanent structural change to our system of government - in other words, it's a revolution.
It's like History created these two opposites specifically to collide and destroy each other, perhaps to undo the United States and cut off its future. Unfortunately it is too late for the rest of us to get away from them.

8. The tea party does not accept democracy in any form. |
|
These bastards only accept elections when their side wins. When they lose, they become violent and do everything in their power to de-legitimize their opposition.
