One undeniable truth about media coverage, simple and obvious. |

Barack Obama and John Boehner are getting very similiar coverage. Almost equal.
Well, Boehner was elected by the House of Representatives. Obama was elected by all the people that voted in an election througout the country.
I do not recall in my life, (intererst in politics over 50 years), any Speaker of the House getting this kind of coverage.
If it were Democratic Congress holding up any action of a puke president, the coverage would be incredibly tilted against the Democrats. (unpatriotic would be the kindest thing we would be called)

1. Yup, I know that much is true |
|
and each night even our local TeeVee news shows about 10 minutes of Repuke presidential candidates and their activities, meetings, appearances, etc. Unfuckingbelievable that Bachmann, Pawlenty, (not so much Palin since the many self-destructive acts by her and her minions)but the others, some I never heard of get air time like they were serious candidates or had something to say.
Just remember it doesn't matter to TPTB, as this Obama is also their Obama. Just different degrees in corporatism is all. Oh, and they will play the race card whenever it is convenient. Especially if any one of their shills can make the medicine go down. Kabuki theater indeed.
Unfuckingbelievable.

2. I can think of one other Speaker who got this kind of coverage |
|
He was from Georgia, as I recall, and was treated like some kind of oracle by a lot of media chuckleheads who should have known better. I wonder what ever happened to him?

4. Don't think the equal time is doing them any favors. |
|
Every minute of airtime they get, they artfully use to display their stubbornness, ignorance and idiocy. This airtime is not winning them anything.

6. Newt Gingrinch got this kind of coverage. |

The MSM is owned by large corporations. It is private media that answers only to its advertisers and owners. They don't own them for the ratings (Cenk was winning his slot and growing when they dumped him) or for a profit. The review of Murdoch's career shows that he wanted to own media to have a larger voice in politics. Ben Frankling said "Freedom of the press belongs strictly to those who OWN one."
Frickin' Pat Buchanon is on MSNBC for his 41st year, praising that crazy coward in Norway for murdering unarmed children -- there is nothing equal about coverage in this country.
