have completely brain washed Bubba into thinking that his fate depends on Richie Rich and Paris Hilton having low tax rates and that the gubmint will take taxes and do nothing but support and hire dangerous four eyed "intellekchuals", ugly women folk, and blacks.

if Congress wasn't owned by the same people that ending the wars, rolling back tax cuts and closing loop holes would hurt the most.
Personally I think the one thing that would help this the most is straight publicly funded elections. No fundraising of any type allowed and no second party advertising.

11. Not only would it effectively neuter |
|
any special interest group politically it would free up Senators and especially Congressmen to do their damned job instead of fundraising. Politicians of all stripes should not be fundraising, they should be Governing.
That won't ever work here though not with the Supreme Court telling us that corporations are people and have the ability to send unlimited stock holder money into the political process.

Just rolling back the Bush tax cuts does more than any of these plans.

8. They WANT it to be hard |
|
that's the only reason. There are programs they want to do away with and this is how they do it. One thing I have noticed is that they do not mention the poor any more. And guess who gets hurt by their cuts, the poor young and old. Not even Obama even acknowledges that they exist.

I have middle class friends who support the GOP and I can't figure out why. Reputable sources have already said that trickle-down is dead. It's dead because of corporate greed. For the past 35 years I have seen my disposable income eroded away because my employer stopped merit raises and our cost of living increases did not cover the increase in the cost of living. On top of that my state of Delaware deregulated the one power company we had and they increased our rates by 67%. Then, it seems like every other business raises their rates or cost of goods by at least 20%. It doesn't take long before everybody in the middle class realizes that they need to start saving what they have left for retirement. So, with no money to spend, how do we buy goods and contribute to the growth of America. Now, the Tea Party wants to cut our medical benefits and Soc. Sec. We have no extra money to spare. Colleges and Universities get money from the government and they still charge enormous tuitions and their tenured professors choose how many classes they want to teach. What a waste. And what about all the hair brained research our government supports. I believe there is plenty of waste that can be cut but the GOP is bought and paid for. Who in their right mind would vote republican?? I say, vote out the incumbents except the ones we trust like Bernie Sanders. We need to start a list of "the good guys". I also believe the people who voted for the Tea Party realize they made a mistake. The next election is going to be I_N_T_E_R_E_S_T_I_N_G !!!!!
