Heavy snow here in Atlanta. (pics)
Well, for Atlanta. This accumulated in about 15 minutes. One of our cats went out to take a look (footprints on right). The skid marks in the middle are from our other two cats, who I tossed out to take a look (heh).

All indoor kitties. Back inside now.

2. Where are you in Atlanta?
My ER nurse sister has to commute in a car that has lousy traction (and she is snow phobic to begin with)... Is it wet snow or ice overlaid with snow?

4. Cars are still traveling the roads pretty well, but slower.
It's just snow at this point here in Decatur. Tomorrow we will be getting some ice.

8. Yep, once traffic starts to die down and the temp hits the low the slush on the roads will freeze.

Tomorrow morning the commuters will see the worst of it. It will probably clear out by 9 or 10, but then re-freeze tomorrow night. Depending on how much snow there is we could have 3-4 days or even a week of icy roads.

5. A friend of mine is up in Noonan.
He just called and said that he's coming back home Tuesday instead of tomorrow, due to the snow. I wish we would get some of it here in Biloxi, but I doubt it will make it this far south. Y'all enjoy!

Rec'd but the unreccers got there first.

Thanks for the photos. Hope it doesn't get too bad, especially for the kitties.

18. Thank you! lol, I just am amazed at the things that get unrec'd
here. This seems like the least controversial topic, but, I guess someone doesn't want to hear about snow or something :-)

10. Make it go away, I'm flying in tomorrow afternoon.
I suppose it could be worse. If I get stuck, I'll be in Chicago.

Maybe catch some blues.

14. You call that snow? Up here in the NE we've got more than that in a few days.
in two days. Don't mean to diss you but we get to deal with some serious snow up here. Fortunately we're prepared to deal with it. Hope you have a decent shovel.

15. I'm glad when I moved down south
that I kept my shovel. It'll be a good way to get to know some of my neighbors tomorrow too. Be safe/dry/warm!

20. It'll be solid ice on the roads come time for the morning commute. And Atlantans, for the most part

do not know how to drive on ice. The I-75 is gonna look like the road into Baghdad tomorrow with all the wreckage on the highway.

21. Hey, it's deeper now. And again, this is Atlanta, so 5 or 6 inches pretty much kills us. (pic)
