"Muslims are being allowed to build Mosques and not be sent to reeducation camps. Help I'm being oppressed by the Isalmofacist marxist, socialist,agenda. Help other religions are allowed to exist in America that is a violation of the first amendment. Don't you know it only applies to us? It's un-American when other religions exist. Islam is an evil cult like the People's Temple, Branch Davidans, Manson Family, if we don't allow them to exist we shouldn't allow Islam to exist(actual argument I've heard used, I've already pointed out to the poster that they are allowed to exist and that the Branch Davidans exist in small numbers today and I could United Church of Manson today and no one could stop me) We need to restore America to it's founding principles and totally get rid of the first amendment because that is so un-american."

Just a little insight into the mindset I've encountered among the right wing. It mostly came from a thread on Cain's banning Mosque statement which a lot of right-winger were cheering him for and an thread titled "The cult of Islam." My head hurts trying to reason with these people. I like the relative sanity of DU.
