Video reveals bank ‘activity’ a requirement for Wisconsin voter ID
Source: RawReplay
By David Edwards

A Wisconsin woman recorded the process of getting her son an ID to vote. She discovered that the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) could refuse to issue the constitutionally-mandated ID card if the voter’s bank account did not show enough “activity.”

The clerk couldn’t explain what would happen if a resident was homeless or unemployed.

The DMV also told her that voters would be charged $28 if they didn’t check a special box to indicate the ID was for voting, effectively making the fee a poll tax.

4. It doesn't but then neither does the current SCOTUS
They will certainly invent legal reasoning to support this travesty.

12. Thank you. Were I Attorney General Eric Holder (or his boss), I'd
be directing US Dept of Justice Attorneys and FBI agents to descend en masse on Wisconsin to investigate voting rights violations.

Obama is just fine with the homeless and unemployed not being able to vote, I guess.

7. How to say this and not offend someone
This has been going on for years against minorities, poor, etc. Now that the Facist pigs feel as if nothing can stop them they are going for White voters.....

The lesson is we need to pay attention to those disenfranchised groups because they are the experiments before the real thing.

We are all in this now....and we need to understand that we don't have to agree on everything but in the end we are on the same side and we HAVE to win the next election...that does not include primary against President Obama, the money that is spent on a primary is money not spent on defeating the Republicans.

Walker is also closing DMV offices in Democratic areas and enlarging them in Republican areas. Let's support our brothers and sisters in Wisconsin to recall Walker.

8. When Holder gets through jailing cancer patients and destroying Don Siegelman,
maybe he can look into these obvious violations of voting rights.

11. Yep, exactly. Just a few months ago a general strike
was being "considered" in Wisconsin, but all the "sensible" centrists said, "Rely on the recalls and vote them out. We don't need radical solutions." Which, honestly, I didn't DISAGREE with, at least as far as the recalls go. But I said at the time not to put all your eggs in the "recall" basket. Because I KNEW something like this would happen. Fascist thinkers don't give up power without a fight.

So now what happens when these voter machinations cause the recalls NOT to happen? Or lose? Blame Democrats for not coming out in huge enough numbers to overcome GOP election fraud? Or bring up the strike again and make them HURT.

13. If they check the box it's for a voter ID they do NOT have to pay $28. There's enough bullshit going
on. Why does Rawstory need to misrepresent the facts?
