5. That's not really a veto threat
It's a memo that someone in the WH is recommending that the President threaten to veto it.

Anyone who ever watched The West Wing probably remembers a time when someone suggested this very tactic. It was rejected as the obvious sign of weakness that it was.

7. I sometimes wish Obama's team would watch The West Wing
They could learn an awful lot. Which is pretty sad when you remember it was just a TV show.
