Called my Congresscretin. Told him no cuts to SS or Medicare, raise taxes on the wealthy. |
|
Also, "I don't give a rat's ass what was promised to Grover Norquist. Grover Norquist doesn't live in this district!"

I called Boner's office and left a message on his voicemail. I told him I didn't support the ransome note he delivered last night and the "blank check" meme was just bull.

3. Good for you. Just called my Republican Senator and said pretty much the same |
|
although i was pretty nice about it, I think he is probably one of the Reasonable Republicans who would be willing to pass tax hikes if they had a bill like that.
My rep is a great progressive dem, as is my other Senator. I am going to call and give them some encouragement/

And my congressman is Joe 'you lie' Wilson. I expected to get some push back when I told them my wife and I would both hold the Republicans responsible, and that many dedicated Republicans, mostly over 60, were talking about voting against the GOP because of this. She sighed and said, "I will add your comment to all of the others we have received taking this position." Wilson and his crowd remind me of an old H L Mencken quote: The typical politician of today is totally devoid of principle. If the polls showed that most people favored cannibalism, he would happily consume human flesh.

37. Using your talking points, I emailed all three conservanazis from my state. |
|
I told them to settle this debt ceiling issue. No cuts to SS, Medicare, Medicade. I said the same about Norquist: he doesn't live, vote or pay taxes in Texas. As far as raising revenue, I stated that it they can afford to bribe their way out of taxes, then they can afford to pay more. I can't. I also told them that people in Texas or hurting, probably not in the social circles conservanazis run it. F*ck 'em if they don't like what I have to say. BTW, with an email, those have to go on file. I'll keep theirs for future reference.
