Good dog....did you know Obama started this killing spree with all his violent talk?

Oh my freaking aye. This is what I was given as the reason the violence has been escalating...Obama started it first.

I am dumb founded at "teh stupid".

Obama: ‘We’re gonna punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us,’ if they don’t see that kind of upsurge in voting in this election, then I think it’s gonna be harder and that’s why I think it’s so important that people focus on voting on November 2.”

Obama to the GOP…”We have met the enemy, and it is YOU!”.......http://www.examiner.com/government-in-topeka/obama-to-the-gop-we-have-met-the-enemy-and-it-is-you

A reminder to lefties who want to blame harsh rhetoric used by Republicans on the shooting Arizona: The leader of your party had no problem using tough rhetoric, either.

Channeling the mob drama, “The Untouchables,” Mr. Obama said in reference to the general election rumble with the Republicans: “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.”

That’s from the New York Times.

If people like Sarah Palin are responsible because she used words like “target”, is Barack Obama not also responsible for talking about bringing guns to fights? Surely there were less violent metaphors he could have used. Instead, he talked about guns and knives in fights.

Do I blame Barack Obama for yesterday’s tragedy? Of course not. His words were clearly a metaphor. But the same applies to Sarah Palin’s rhetoric. That hasn’t stopped many lefties from blaming people like Palin for the actions of one crazy individual who, incidentally, listed “The Communist Manifesto” as one of his favorite books.

Update: James Joyner also takes on the left’s attack on “crosshair” graphics, pointing out that Democrats have repeatedly used the same terms and graphics.

2. I just saw Neil Boortz spewing this crap. The irony is overwhelming. The press and some folks on
the left side of the aisle have been giving President Obama crap for a long time for not "showing more fight", not really going after the Republicans more, etc. and now to have them acting like President Obama has been inciting things - Jesus... too f#$king ridiculous for words.

I think we know what all the RW talk radio will be doing tomorrow. :eyes:

3. Please name one right-winger killed by a Leftist in the last twenty years in this country.
When Democrats respond to threats of violence with strong rhetoric, the right loses its mind.

We're supposed to shut up and take it.

Fuck that noise.

4. Obama didn't call for bullets if ballots don't work
unlike the teabagger in southern Florida who was removed from her political position after her remarks.

it's not just palin. it's the political violence rhetoric.

I also don't remember hearing any eliminationist rhetoric from liberal on the radio or from the halls of Congress. The same cannot be said for the right.

also, this rhetoric goes back to the Clinton era from right wingers. I don't recall members of the democratic party calling for the murder of an elected official if they didn't get their way.
