2% at the top, but could give two sh*ts about what the rest of us want or need.
The alleged two parties are really one corporate ruling party. We are living in a very sad time and seeing close up, the decline and potential end of American Democracy.
When a group like ALEC can get together to write policy and submit it to the government for a yes vote, the idea of a government for all of the people ceases to exist.
When the Koch brothers and their like can get together in secretive meetings with other rich and powerful people and the police band together and guard these secret meetings to keep the average person from seeing and hearing what is taking place, then democracy is failing.
When some of these secret meetings even have a few right wing Supreme Court Justices in attendance, then you know we are in decline.
When a Democratic President refuses to say, "Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid are off the table in any and all budget or debt discussions," then Democracy is sliding down hill and moving back wards.
When religion infiltrates a government that is supposed to free from religion, and said religion trys to force its belief on others, and preaches lack of tolerance, bigotry, and hatred of those who do not agree with it, then Democracy is not the word for that government.
Without going on all day, and it is easy to do in this twilight zone like era we are in, when corporations are ruled to be people by a right wing leaning Supreme Court, whose power and money give them preference in and ownership of "our" government, then most of us know who and what "their" government truly represents.
All one needs to do is look around and see who is doing well, who owns most of the wealth, who is making profits, who are getting bonuses and salary increases, who were bailed out by the their government after causing the collapse of the economy, who pays little or no taxes, who gets continuous tax cuts and subsidies, who owns the lobby's and alleged think tanks, who owns the media, who pushes for deregulation of banks and wall street and who do these votes to deregulate help, and finally, who rigs and buys the elections?
