5. By who?
Edited on Tue Jul-26-11 08:40 PM by Ruby the Liberal
Teabaggers? Sure - until their SS/SSDI/Unemployment is cut off.

Wall Street? They will have his head mounted on the horns of the golden calf they worship in lower Manhattan within a day.

Democrats? Nothing need be said here

Run-of-the-mill Republicans who haven't been paying attention? They will beat the former 3 in line for the pitchforks.

This is a Lose-Lose for ALL of us.

unless something bigger is in play e.g. Fire Sale

this looks more like the Rope-a-DOPE strategy to me.

13. Hmmm to what the 15% of Teabaggers?
Wall Street loses Billions
World Markets crash
Americans loans, car, college, credit cards interests rates go through the roof. Yea, not isoloated to Democratic citizens but all citizens..
Don't forget since many U.S corporations are involved with international business contracts, goods sold by AMerican companies will be at risk. Interest rates go up...countries and businesses cost will go up and orders will get cancelled.

All of this so a Black President doesn't succeed?

Here is their mistake, Americans are paying attention and now are actually educating themselves. They also realize that this simple sentence of raising the debt ceiling has happened 70 times prior and there was no issue. There was no issue with Junior..

It is clear the Republicans honor the 2% Richest of the Rich, Grover Norquist and his pledges (which are un-American)and the TeaParty nutss....It is also clear that the United States of America and the welfare of the 98% of it's citizens doesn't even show on their radar....

No, I think you are wrong...Boehner's legacy will be that he will be the first Speaker of the House to have failed to write a simple sentence to raise the debt ceiling in the entire U.S history. His legacy will be worse than Newt Gingriches...

22. The ones that show up with misspelled signs and look/act like sorry fools will really
wake up if they cut Social Security or Medicare or Medicaid in any way. Maybe this is what's needed to wake them that their heroes are F'ing them over and they aren't going to make them rich like they are.

Every poll I've seen on the subject says that if the government defaults, between 70% and 80% of Americans would blame the Republicans.

Big business wants a debt ceiling increase, and they'll get it. John Boehner doesn't get to just say "no".

The same goes for every Tea Party stooge in the House. They are no revolutionaries, and when their bosses tell them to sign an increase, they'll tuck their tails between their legs and sign it, no matter what deal is on the table.
