Recall Walker Signs Showing Up In Yards
Edited on Tue Jul-26-11 08:46 PM by cal04
Wauwatosa Allows Signs To Stay For Now
http://www.wisn.com/r/28674602/detail.html

A lot of political attention this summer has been on the Senate recalls elections, but some Milwaukee-area residents are already looking ahead to next year and posting recall signs.

The signs are advocating the recall of Gov. Scott Walker, who lives in Wauwatosa, but many communities have limits on election signs.

In Shorewood, the Recall Walker signs are outnumbered by the signs for the state Senate recall race there, but the only election signs to be seen in Wauwatosa are for an election in concept only -- the possible recall attempt against Walker.

14. Yes, I remember the guy turning down all that money for rail; then he's tried to get the money to
give to a Koch brothers project, right? The biggest danger is that he will give so much away, that it took generations to build and pay for, that the momentum to return to anything like the democratic approach to running government, progress with infrastructure and schools, health care and everything else, will never be achieved again. Kind of like taking away paradise and putting up a parking lot. You can't get back those forests and rivers of human creativity and love again. Stay strong, we still love you all.

2. When I was in the Smoky Mountains in June,
I saw a car parked with a sign in the window that said "Walker your pink slip is coming".

Election in two weeks
As August 9th looms large for the voters in six districts, battles waged in the cities of La Crosse, Menomonee Falls, Fond du Lac, Milwaukee, and Green Bay could bring sweeping changes in Madison.

6. You are not alone on that one.
There are many of us who can't wait to see him loose. It will be an incredible victory when he does.

8. Nice, but it will take more than signs to recall Walker. Lots of hard work & perseverance,
making sure all the i's are dotted and the t's are crossed. We need to be smart and to anticipate the dirty tricks that will come because Republicans don't play by a pretty set of rules and will break them if they can get away with it.

We need to help everyone who needs to vote to be able to vote and that includes helping anyone get an ID if they need one. We need qualified and alert poll watchers who are computer literate and know what to do. We need lawyers involved on election day.

Finally we need to follow through and turn out and vote whenever needed. Signs are good and enthusiasm is good, but nothing beats turning out in record numbers to vote. This should not be a close election because only close elections may be stolen and the last thing I want to see is cries of "we was robbed" when our numbers should overwhelm Walker.
