Well, Chris Christie is governor now… Somehow, I doubt that the same promise would have came from him personally were his assistance needed in a similar situation.
The work of the EPA was mentioned too. It was explained that the agency was an effective and diligent regulator up until Reagan took office and GUTTED IT. The result was that people died needlessly while corporations profited.
No surprise, really...
But it's just further evidence that there is a difference between Democrats and Republicans,
